Prepares reports, correspondence and other materials for schools, providers, insurance carriers and others as needed. Assigns standardized billing codes and corresponding charges required for reimbursement.
· Participates in research projects and conducts presentations at seminars and workshops. Serves as a resource in general pediatrics as well as area(s) of specialization.
· Participates in department/unit quality improvement program and assists in planning and organizing daily service operations.
· Establishes and maintains professional relationships with patients and families. Identifies patients'/families' specific needs and incorporates into patient care as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements

1. At least two years clinical experience meeting Level I responsibilities as determined by manager/supervisor assessment or upon employment interview.
2. Degree in Occupational Therapy.
3. Wisconsin State licensure.
4. Current certification registration by the NBCOT.
5. Basic Life Support certification.
6. Interpersonal skills necessary to interact with patients, visitors, hospital staff and physicians as necessary. 7. Ability to concentrate and pay attention to detail for up to ninety percent of work time when performing basic patient care tasks.
8. Ability to walk and stand for up to ninety percent of work time and to lift and position patients.
Working Conditions: 1.
Requires the physical ability to continuously walk, stand, bend, kneel push and pull objects up to 90% of the time and; lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds. 2. Duties performed in a well lighted, temperature controlled medical environment with extensive patient contact. 3. Regular exposure to communicable diseases and adverse working conditions (up to fifty percent of work time) due to certain patient care activities. 4. Frequent exposure to blood and body fluids. Adherence to standard precautions is required to minimize risk.
